OUR PHILOSOPHY |
|
| |
Our 28 acre organic farm is located three miles from Kilcock and 8 miles from Clane. We have been certified as organic for the last 17 years, producing beef, lamb and vegetables during this time. Today we mainly produce beef and lamb, which have become central elements in our pies, which we have recently started to sell in a number of shops and markets in Kildare, Dublin and Wicklow. |

| |
All our pies are certified as organic (by IOFGA), with our vegetables sourced locally from organic vegetable producers Deirdre and Rose OSullivan, and our chicken from Margaret McDonnell's organic poultry farm |

The philosophy and psychology of the farm, and farm produce, is of huge importance to us. We feel that to eat meat carries an obligation to insure that the animal has lived a stress free, peaceful life. This carries over to our philosophy of The Best Life For All Involved which not only relates to us humans, but also to our more sane friends, who rely on us for their well being.
The psychology of our produce, and way of life, is equally important as it reflects a desired change in direction in the way we live our lives. The pace at which we live our lives, and the detachment we suffer from our communities, food, and families, has a negative impact on our mental well being and quality of life. Our membership of The Slow Food Movement, and our commitment to its ideals, reflects our holistic approach to farming and food production
